Approval is indicated by a green light and a positive audio signal. A failed attempt will activate a red light and an error sound.
Which products can I recharge my card with?
Personalised card:
- Suitable for daily or frequent users of public transportation.
- Allows the storage of a 7-day, 30-day or 365-day ticket and monetary value up to €50 through the Electronic Wallet.
- Allows the storage of discount tickets for discount beneficiaries.
- Available for passengers entitled to free transfer.
Anonymous card:

How many types of tickets can I have on my card at the same time?
Both Personalised and Anonymous cards can store up to 3 period tickets at any time, from any of the public transport companies in Cyprus, as well as monetary value through the Electronic Wallet.
The system first recognizes the period ticket and then the stored monetary value. If the fare product is not sufficient, the system validates the required ticket value from the stored Electronic Wallet balance.
How much money can I save on my card?
The maximum top-up amount is €50 in your e-wallet. Your card can store up to €100.
I am a beneficiary of a reduced fare. What do I need to issue?
You need to issue a personalised card. With a personalised card, you can top up reduced fare products, such as 7-day, 30-day or 365-day tickets, as well as monetary value up to €50. Each time you use the bus, the value of a reduced ticket is deducted.
I topped up a 7 or 30 day ticket. When is it activated?
Any product you have topped up on your card, such as a 30-day ticket, is activated from the first time you validate your card on the validation machine in the bus.
I already topped up a monthly ticket. Can I reload it for the next month?
Yes. You can recharge your card whenever you like. The second charge will be activated automatically after the first one expires, so you will not lose the remaining days.
How do I check the balance of my card or ticket?
You can see the remaining credit after validating your card in the screen on the bus machine.
I owned a personalised Motion Bus Card and lost it. What do I do?
In case of loss, theft or malfunction of your personalised card, you should report it as soon as possible at one of the Motion ticket offices and request a replacement.
To re-issue a personalised card, you will need:
- Your identity card, passport or birth certificate for young children who do not have a civil identity card.
- The necessary supporting documents if you are entitled to reduced or free travel.
- The responsible person will cancel your old card and issue the new card.
- Card replacement due to loss, theft or damage costs €5.
The remaining fare products and/or monetary value stored on the old card will be transferred to the new card.
I owned an anonymous Motion Bus Card and lost it. What do I do?
An anonymous Motion Bus Card does not store the owner’s personal information. Therefore, if it is lost, stolen or destroyed, it cannot be compensated or replaced and can be used by third parties.
For this reason, urban transport users are advised to prefer the personalised Motion Bus Card in order to secure their purchased value.

I have an activated 30-day ticket but I will be away for 1 month. Can I use it when I return?
Any monetary value through the Electronic Wallet and any non-activated ticket you have saved will remain on the card.
