The Role

To administrate driving instructors on teaching techniques and to lead a team of driving instructors to ensure compliance with the company’s standards of health and safety regulations.


Key Duties and Responsibilities

·         Manage the training schedule daily and coordinate Direct Observations/assessments for drivers currently in service.

·         Detect, analyse, and determine the existing training needs of drivers and trainers. 

·         Mentor, monitor, and assist trainers within the team with their daily needs.

·         Analyse and promote improvements in training methods, driver evaluation systems, and new application technologies.

·         Select and evaluate bus drivers to become potential Professional Driving Instructors.

·         Liaise with the Human Resources and Operations departments to organize required training and retraining sessions.

·         Ensure Health and Safety requirements in liaison with the company’s policies. Hold regular meetings to ensure that action plans are being established following an analysis of the evolution of accidents.

·         Analyse and assess existing Driving Instructors.

Qualifications and Experience

·         Experience in driving heavy vehicles, both locally and preferably abroad.

·         Hands-on experience in teaching different methods and driving techniques.

·         General experience in the road transport industry.

·         Knowledge of basic Microsoft Office applications.

·         Demonstrate visible commitment to Health and Safety procedures.

·         Strong communication skills in Greek and English, both written and oral.

·         Able to support the business and develop a new culture where the safety of the employees and customers is a must.

·         Excellent problem-solving and public-speaking skills.
