CPT Showcases Larnaca Living Lab at SUM Final General Assembly
Krakow, Poland | 18–19 March 2026 – Cyprus Public Transport participated in the Final General Assembly of the SUM project in Krakow, Poland, where Andreas Demetriades, Technology & Innovation Director, highlighted the progress and achievements of the Larnaca Living Lab.
The presentation highlighted how buses and shared bicycles can work together to provide more seamless and sustainable urban mobility. By integrating public transport and bike-sharing services, the initiative helps passengers complete the final part of their journey more conveniently, particularly when destinations are not within walking distance.
Implemented in Larnaca Living Lab as part of the SUM project, the Bus & Bike combination service supports greater accessibility to public transport, reduces reliance on private vehicles, and promotes more flexible and sustainable travel options across the city.
The Larnaca Living Lab demonstrates how integrating different mobility services can create more connected, accessible, and user-centred transport systems for urban communities.
Through its participation in the SUM project, CPT and LPT continue to contribute to the development and testing of innovative mobility solutions that support the transition towards more sustainable urban transport.
