AutoTRUST 1ˢᵗ Review Meeting Marks Progress Towards Real-World Demonstrations

Brussels, Belgium | 13 January 2026 – Nicosia Public Transport (NPT) participated in the 1ˢᵗ Review Meeting of the AutoTRUST project in Brussels, Belgium represented by Katerina Maxouti, Research Project Manager.

The meeting brought together the consortium partners, project coordinator, and representatives from the European Commission to review the project's achievements and assess progress towards its next implementation phase.

During the meeting, project partners presented the developments achieved since the project start, highlighting key milestones and the successful delivery of core project components. Discussions focused on the advancement of innovative solutions designed to improve accessibility, safety, security, and passenger experience within automated and public transport environments.

NPT showcased the progress of the Cyprus pilot, which focuses on the development and testing of adaptive bus services aimed at enhancing real-world passenger experiences. Particular emphasis was placed on improving accessibility, supporting diverse user needs, and creating safer and more inclusive mobility services through the integration of innovative technologies.

The review meeting also provided an opportunity for consortium partners to align activities ahead of the next phase of the project, which will focus on ground demonstrations and real-world validation of the developed solutions.

The meeting concluded with constructive feedback from the European Commission's Project Officer and Project Reviewer, reinforcing the consortium's commitment to delivering impactful and user-centred mobility solutions. Through its participation in AutoTRUST, NPT continues to contribute to the development of smarter, safer, and more inclusive transport systems that improve mobility for all passengers.
